we all want to be / alone, I reply, except when / we do not

Lots going on is a euphemism. Lots going on is a season.

In times of lots going on, dive really, really into die cutting and paper crafting.

Reduce, reuse, reorganize, freecycle, trash nothing.

Donate coats to the coat drive; books to the book drive; blood to the blood drive.

Get a rook piercing. Get another lobe piercing.

Trim the winter candles. Find the cosy socks. Get the boots resoled.

Rediscover tea. Try a new congee recipe. Use the good mugs.

Prepare the parang playlists. Ponder pastelles.

Think about what we lose when we do not understand what are losing [Source]

Be grateful for what remains. Be ready to fight for what you want to hold on to.

What do

you believe, he asks.

That we all want to be

alone, I reply, except when

we do not; that the world

was open to my sorrow

and ate most of it; that

today is a gift and I am

ready to receive you.
